Finding a low quotation is easy. Getting what was promised is much harder.
Our roots in China’s electrical equipment industry date back to 1988. Decades of procurement and construction work have built long-standing relationships with manufacturers across the country.
That experience taught us that two suppliers can offer equipment that looks identical while using different enclosure materials, insulation systems, conductors or components. Those differences rarely show up in a quotation, but they decide the real quality, reliability and lifetime cost of the equipment.

Are you a trading company or a manufacturer’s agent?
Neither. Kilonex is a buyer-side procurement agency. We represent your interests, our fees come from you, and we recommend suppliers based on technical compliance, quality, commercial terms, delivery and track record, not on commissions. Where a supplier rebate, referral fee or other commercial arrangement applies, it is handled transparently and in accordance with the commercial terms agreed with the client.
What kind of equipment do you source?
Electrical equipment manufactured in China, such as [switchgear, transformers, busway, panelboards, enclosures, cables and components: adjust to your actual range]. Not sure whether we cover a product? Send us the specification.
Why not simply choose the lowest quotation?
Because quotations are often not for the same product. A lower price can come from thinner steel, lower-grade insulation, cheaper contacts or copper-clad aluminum instead of copper. We make every supplier quote against the same specification, so you compare like-for-like and avoid hidden downgrades.
Who makes the final decision on the supplier?
You do. We prepare the technical and commercial comparison and a recommendation, and the final choice always belongs to the client.
How do you charge for your services?
For a first project, we usually start with a fixed fee covering technical review, sourcing, supplier qualification and quotation comparison. If you go ahead with the purchase, a procurement management fee based on order value applies. Ongoing programs move to a monthly retainer with a reduced transaction fee, and a shared-savings bonus can be added when the savings baseline is clearly comparable.
What happens if there is a quality problem?
For projects we manage, contracts, specifications and quality records let us trace exactly what was ordered and what was delivered. We escalate the issue with the manufacturer, follow the corrective action and coordinate warranty claims, within the scope and liability terms agreed in your contract.
Do you handle engineering approval and Canadian certification?
We support the procurement process by incorporating applicable Canadian technical, documentation and certification requirements into the supplier specification and coordinating the required documents with the manufacturer. Final engineering design, code compliance, professional engineering approval, installation, inspection and any required product certification or regulatory approval remain the responsibility of the client, manufacturer and appropriately licensed or accredited professionals, depending on the project.
